Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Magestica (“we”, “us”) is an independent individual developer. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with magestica.com and every app we publish, including Tool Box (together, the “Services”).
2. Scope
This is a single, global policy for all Magestica products. Where a specific app handles information differently, we describe that in Product-specific notes below. Nothing there reduces the protections in this policy.
3. Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Information in our apps. We design our apps to work with as little data as possible. Unless a product-specific note says otherwise, our apps do not require an account and do not collect your name, contact details, precise location, contacts or files.
- Technical information. Like most services, our website host and app stores may process standard technical data such as IP address, device type, operating system and basic usage or crash statistics. Apple, Google and other app stores provide us with aggregated analytics and crash reports.
4. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve our Services.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs and keep the Services secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services (for example website hosting, app store platforms and crash reporting), who may process it only on our behalf; when required by law; or to protect rights, safety and security. If we add third-party services such as analytics or advertising to an app, we will list them in Product-specific notes before release.
6. Retention & security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above (for example, support emails are deleted when no longer needed). We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@magestica.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
8. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Product-specific notes
Tool Box
Tool Box is a Windows desktop app that runs entirely on your computer. It has no accounts, analytics, telemetry or ads, and it does not collect, store, sell or share personal data. It does not contact us or any online service on its own, and it does not check for updates. Network tools (such as ping, port and IP scanning) send traffic only to the addresses you enter. A few display preferences (last tool, theme, menu state) are stored locally on your device and never transmitted. Its full policy is in the Tool Box repository.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted in the relevant app or on this site.
